Cold Weather Payments triggered across Sherwood

Wednesday, 10 February, 2021
Snowfall has been significant across Nottinghamshire

Because of the weather we've had over the past couple of days, a 'Cold Weather Payment' has been triggered across most of Sherwood.

Cold Weather Payments are payments made to those who are on certain benefits when the temperature drops to 0°C or below for seven consecutive days.

The alert was triggered on 8/2/2021 for the period 7/2/2021 to 13/2/2021.

You do not need to claim the Cold Weather Payment - it will be paid automatically to eligible recipients.

Check out the link below to find out more - including the criteria for receiving this additional support.
