Good news from the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday that Zoos will be able to re-open in England from the 15th June, provided they can implement some COVID-secure procedures.
Being reliant on visitors, Zoos have had a tough time financially during the coronavirus. I'm proud to say the Government created a £14 million support package for them back in early May, specifically to keep them going, but even so we're keen to get them opened and receiving visitors again (provided it can be safely done).
We will also reopen safari parks and outdoor cinemas in England, where people can stay in their cars.
