An extra £2m for Notts County Council

February 8, 2016

I'm delighted that in response to my question in Local Government Questions in the House today, and constant pressure from myself and colleagues, Nottinghamshire will receive over £2m in additional funding to support services.

That money will be really important in helping the Councils protect services whilst they transition to a new system where they are more responsible and accountable for their own funding in the future.

I also saw further signs that our Enterprise Zone proposals are very much under consideration from the Secretary of State, Greg Clarke, which be be another big boost to our local economy and local Councils who will receive the Business Rates from those new employers.
