I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the The National Holocaust Centre and Museum at Laxton on Friday with a group of students studying race, diversity and prejudice. As part of a scheme called 'Parliamentors', I've been supporting these guys from Nottingham Trent University on their project.
The National Holocaust Museum is right on our doorstep and is the only one in the country dedicated to teaching and learning lessons from the events of WWII. I thought it was apt that we should visit as part of a project that is still trying to overcome the kind of prejudice experienced at that time.
You can see an article on this in the Hucknall Dispatch HERE
We also met the new Chief Inspector for Ashfield to get his experiences of these issues.
