Local MP Mark Spencer has called on community groups in his constituency to apply for funding grants from the ‘Local Improvement Scheme’.
Mr Spencer has advised any local community groups, clubs and organisations to consider applying for funding grants from the ‘Local Improvement Scheme’, ran by Nottinghamshire County Council.
Currently, eligible groups, such as a local sports club, charity, community group or Parish Council can apply to receive grant funding from the Local Improvement Scheme.
Discussing the scheme, MP Mark Spencer said: “It would be really positive for our community if we could get some of this funding coming to us in Sherwood. We have some absolutely fantastic community and voluntary groups that do some great work across the constituency, and I’d love to see some of this pot of money go to them to help them to continue.”
“The money is there and available, it just needs eligible groups to apply for it.”
“If you want any more information, or know of any community organisations that you think could benefit from this, feel free to either contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or to contact Nottinghamshire County Council.”
