SHERWOOD’S local Member of Parliament, Mark Spencer, has chosen a winning design for his annual Christmas Card.
Mark Spencer MP asked students from a number of local primary schools across Sherwood to submit designs for his annual ‘Christmas Card Competition’. The competition, which is designed to encourage creativity and youth engagement with democracy from an early age, sees the winning entry being used by Mark for his 2018 Christmas card.
Mark has received entries from 9 different primary schools across the constituency.
Discussing the competition, Mr Spencer said: “Holding a Christmas Card competition every year is one of the bits of my job that I really enjoy doing. It’s fantastic seeing all the entries that we get from a whole range of our local primary schools.”
“I’ve had some really great entries submitted, and it’s been a really hard choice to pick a winner!”
“I want to thank all of the teachers and staff that have given up their time to help the students take part in my Christmas card competition, and of course the students themselves for some really fantastic designs.”
