We have a fantastic opportunity to invest in our High Streets, to improve the facilities that we have available to us locally, and encourage people to shop local and support our small businesses.
During my time as the Member of Parliament for Sherwood, I have always enjoyed popping along to our high streets and talking all things local. I have always championed investment in our High Streets- and I am now turning my sights to Ollerton.
I am pushing for a lot of investment around Ollerton. Extra spending on the High Street will compliment the work that I am already doing to improve the transport infrastructure. This includes both my campaign for improvements to the A614- specifically Ollerton Island, and also the Robin Hood Line Extension, with a new station for the town.
I am calling on Newark and Sherwood District Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to invest in Ollerton High Street, to help it grow- and succeed. We need to build an improved shopping experience to draw people in from towns around Sherwood and Nottinghamshire- and offer support to our existing businesses to grow and build new jobs. Ollerton can become a hive of new activity in the Sherwood Forest- and if you want to see this happen, sign my petition today.
