Today I popped into Salterford House School in Calverton to meet with pupils who have written to me about the fly-tipping happening outside their school on a regular basis. I was joined by Local Councillors Boyd Elliott, Lorraine Brown and Jane Walker.
I brought along Terry and Andy from Gedling Borough Council so we could talk about the process of monitoring frequent sites and cleaning up the fly tipping, as well as listen to the children’s ideas to crack down on this nuisance.
It was a brilliant morning and the children are an absolute credit to the school and their families. On the way to the school I spotted another horrendous fly tip and I have reported to the Council.
Fly tipping is a nuisance we are seeing across Sherwood. Please report any incidents you spot and let me know if these are not dealt with promptly. If you know do anyone committing fly tipping please report to the police.
