I recently met with officers from VIA, Severn Trent, the Environment Agency, Councillor Tim Wildgust and residents to discuss the flooding issues affecting Brackendale Drive in Walesby.
The current drainage in place can not cope in times of heavy rain with both foul and rainwater threatening homes on the road.
Residents have asked for flood protection measures which I am writing to Nottinghamshire County Council to ask for. Stop valves have been put in place to try and protect properties from foul water, and officers from VIA are arranging for the gulley's to be cleaned out again. I will continue to work with residents to get a long-term solution in place
