Today is National Fish and Chips Day.

This is the 6th annual event, and it is always fantastic to see Sherwood supporting our local Fish and Chip shops. 

Fantastic news, as of today- 105,290 Coronavirus Vaccine Doses have been delivered in Sherwood!

Thank you to all of our fantastic NHS staff and volunteers who have helped us reach this milestone!

In the UK as a whole, 62,658,639 doses have been delivered.

Last week, Mark Spencer, Member of Parliament for Sherwood, wrote to Network Rail and the Rail Delivery Group regarding improvements that need to be made to Newstead and Hucknall stations in order to improve accessibility.

Mark will be meeting Chris Heaton Harris MP, the Minister for Rail, to receive an update on the Robin Hood Line. 

Mark wants to know, if you had the chance to ask the Rail Minister a question about the line- what would it be?

Nottinghamshire County Council have launched their consultation into their planned improvements for the A614 Mickledale Lane Junction.

Today, I have written to Sir Peter Hendy and Jacqueline Starr regarding safety at Hucknall and Newstead stations, specifically the lack of tactile warning paving.

Mark Spencer, Member of Parliament for Sherwood, has written to the new Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council asking them to support a bid for Government funding for the Robin Hood Line Extension.

From the 17th May 2021, we will see more of the Coronavirus restrictions lifted. This is in part down to the amazing success of the vaccine roll out, and the support that we have received from the public in having their vaccine when asked. 

Mark Spencer MP has welcomed the announcement that 203 police officers have been recruited in Nottinghamshire in the first year of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s campaign to recruit 20,000 by March 2023, as part of the 8,771 additional officers that have been recruited across England and Wales.

This afternoon, I received the news that Hill View Surgery will take over the administration of the current Farnsfield Surgery from 5th May 2021.
