Last year, the Prime Minister pledged to recruit 20,000 more Police Officers.

In the year since this pledge, nearly 6,000 extra Police Officers have been recruited across England and Wales.

For us here in Nottinghamshire, that means we have 100 more Police Officers.

The coronavirus and the restrictions around it mean that we are unfortunately not able to mark Remembrance Sunday in the usual way this year.

I visited Calverton village this morning and privately and safely laid a wreath on behalf of the residents of the village and the constituency, along with village activist Jane Walker.

As part of my early morning visit around the constituency for Remembrance Sunday, I joined local Councillor Tom Smith in Rainworth to privately and safely lay our wreaths of Remembrance together at the war memorial outside the Church of St Simon & St Jude.
