I was at the Farmer’s Weekly awards dinner this week celebrating all that is good in the rural economy and farming.

I am delighted to take the pledge with Alzheimer's Society to give those suffering this terrible disease the help they need.

Southwell Ploughing Match and Show thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and those who came along.

It was great to be in Calverton recently to hold another of my Surgeries. I met with residents and Councillor Boyd Elliot to discuss a wide range of issues and concerns they raised, and I have been taking these up on their behalf.

I recently met with officers from VIA, Severn Trent, the Environment Agency, Councillor Tim Wildgust and residents to discuss the flooding issues affecting Brackendale Drive in Walesby.

I am honoured to be appointed as a Minister of State in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Mark Spencer MP had the pleasure of meeting Rory and Cheryl from the Ruddy Fine gin company last week.

The distillers' 'Lockdown' gin is the first gin to be stocked in the House of Commons as part of Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, the Speaker's Guest Gin Scheme. 

This week, I joined the inaugural meeting of the Nottingham Forest All Party Parliamentary Group. 

This is a new all-party group set up to support the work of the club, their Community Trust, and everything that they are doing across the City.
