Former Hucknall Police Station site

Last week I met with the developers behind the plans for the old Hucknall Police Station.

They have had planning permission granted to build a new care facility, that allows older people to still enjoy independent living while being cared for.

The Furniture Project visit

I had a fantastic tour of the Furniture Project warehouse near Boughton. The project has been going for over 30 years, giving people the opportunity to buy furniture which is either surplus from retailers or second hand. 

Meeting the Chief Constable to discuss policing priorities

Last week I met with our Chief Constable Kate Meynell to discuss policing priorities in Sherwood.

The vast majority of emails I get, and conversations I have locally, regard anti-social behaviour and police visibility.

The Forest Centre in Ollerton

I was back in Ollerton today at the Forest Centre, meeting shop owners concerned about anti social behaviour in the town. We discussed our concerns with the local Police team, who are taking action to crack down on this behaviour.

A614 and A6097 Funding agreed

I am delighted to announce that Nottinghamshire County Council's cabinet today approved the extra funding for the A614 and A6097.

Dale Lane Housing Application - Blidworth.

Last week myself, Blidworth Parish Council and Councillor Tom Smith - Blidworth & Rainworth met with the developers who are trying to build a new housing development on Dale Lane in Blidworth at our fantastic new Blidworth library.

Calverton's Missing Money

I recently met with representatives from the Top Club in Calverton, along with local Councillors Boyd Elliott, Jane Walker and Lorraine Brown to discuss the funding needs for the club.

Visiting ITP Aero

It was fantastic to once again visit ITP Aero in Hucknall to catch up on their great work.

Leen Mills Primary School

It was fantastic to be invited to Leen Mills Primary School yesterday to have a catch up with the school, and understand some of the challenges being faced with school buildings that are in need of refurbishment.
