A swift half at Hucknall Beer Festival

After a busy morning, including my residents surgery, I popped into the Hucknall Beer Festival for a swift half with Cllr Phil Rostance.

It was fantastic to see so many people supporting the festival and clearly having a good time. Thanks to everyone who stopped for a chat.

Flooding in Hucknall

Following another of my resident surgeries in Hucknall on Friday, I went to meet Alan on Thoresby Dale.

Alan does a great job helping ensure the brook remains clear of debris and able to run water away and prevent flooding in the immediate area.

Bilsthorpe Post Office

It is fantastic news that The Post Office have announced they are consulting on the location of the new Post Office in Bilsthorpe!

Myself and Tom Randall MP met with residents of Woodborough, Councillors Boyd Elliott and Helen Greensmith and representatives of Nottinghamshire County Council, Severn Trent, The Environment Agency and Gedling Borough Council, to discuss the flooding issues affecting many properties in the villa

Lloyds Bank in Hucknall and Arnold

I have been contacted by residents concerned about news the Hucknall branch and Arnold Branch of Lloyds Bank may be closing.

Hucknall Flooding

I spent time out and about in Hucknall, speaking to residents affected by the recent floods. 

The recent storms have seen flood water rise to unprecedented levels, as residents and the 4th Scout Group showed me, with many still clearing up the aftermath.

Sunday Politics

Yesterday, I was on BBC Sunday East Midlands Politics at 10am, with the mess of Nottingham City Council the main topic of the day. We also had a feature on Sherwood’s own Newstead Brass.

Newark and Sherwood DC visit

This week myself and Councillor Rhona Holloway were invited to Newark and Sherwood District Council to talk about a few things, including the £20m secured for Ollerton Town Centre.
